Me Myself And Legion
A Short Story

Let me introduce myself. I am a hologram, all the time I record events on this planet worldwide. If you are watching this then you are the first to awaken from your stasis. You were in stasis, 2000 years ago an event happened that changed the world. Sadly to say because of that event, only two stasis pods have survived. If you are wondering what happened, let me explain the events.
In that time the planet earth is populated by 107 billion people. A solution for this problem became a first priority for the well-being of the population. The world government started a project called project 1, 1 for first priority. They set theyre eyes on a group of scientists who came up of a way to solve the population problem. An experiment has been started where 5 pairs of parents’ genes who would be made into babyone. If ever the parents had another child from normal means, their new child's consciousness would be transferred to the babyone by just a simple touch.
There is only one person in babyone, combined with the traits of all the consciousness he absorbed. He will be cared for by ten parents and he will grow in a neighborhood where he will grow a normal life but his identity will be kept a secret by him and his parents. Ten suitable parents were chosen to be donors for the genes of babyone. They explained to the parents to be, that the transfer of consciousness will not be a loss since their children will still live inside babyone, he will be all their children combined with their traits. He will never have a multiple personality. It was a test for a few years, but then it was a successful population control countermeasure. Babyone was the first and for a few years, the countermeasure was then implemented worldwide. Through the years babyone became unstable affecting others like him. It seems all humans have a connection through their genes. In this event babyone absorbed all the consciousness of 107 billion people. In this cataclysmic event, all the people just suddenly collapsed and their consciousness were absorbed to babyone like a black hole. He walked the earth alone for 5 years and was trying to control what was inside him, until he could no longer control himself and exploded, decimating the planet. The world burned and the seas boiled. The only two people and secrets safe from the destruction were those in underground facilities miles from the surface. In the place where babyone exploded a tree began to grow, it is in my observation that the tree has the knowledge of all the people he absorbed.
If you have been alone all this time after you awoken, the other remaining stasis pod is on the 9th floor. Please use the elevator on the middle. It has been my pleasure to assist you in shedding some light in this matter.
